Immersive techologies like virtual and augmented reality (often dubbed “XR”) is considered to be among the technologies that can make a real difference in our collective future. In the eastern parts of Norway (the Inland region) a unique cooperation between public government, local businesses and academia has led to a huge focus on XR, games and gamification, with world leading businesses, research and projects taking place in the region, including Norway’s first VR/AR study programme.
To help this ecosystem grow and develop and help fuel the future of work for organizations and businesses in Norway and internationally, businesses have organized themselves in the VRINN Immersive Learning Cluster (see member list).
VRINN is currently administrated by Hamar Region Visit and Business, a regional development institution for the municipalities of Hamar, Løten and Stange. The cluster is owned by it’s members through the legal entity Stange kommune (org. no. NO970 169 717).
The participants in VRINN share ideas, knowledge and participate in mutual innovation projects in order to develop next generation technology solutions in sectors like learning, training and knowledge transfer. We strive to develop scalable solutions for an international market, making an impact globally.
Several of the members of VRINN as well as the cluster administration is located in PARK, the new business and startup house in the Hamar Region.
